There are lots of ways to participate in the Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society through membership and volunteer opportunities.

Membership

As a NSAS member, you will receive the bimonthly NSAS Newsletter. You will also receive discounts at our annual Healthy Farms Conference and notification of events, including farm tours and workshops. We also have an NSAS listserv -- note on the member form if you would like to be added.

You will also receive Nebraska's best sustainable agriculture networking resource - the biennial NSAS Membership Directory. This directory includes contact information for all NSAS members who choose to be listed.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering for NSAS is fun! We make every effort to give you opportunities to use your creativity and meet new people.

Here is a short list of volunteer opportunities available with NSAS. But don't let this list limit your imagination. If you have a skill and you'd like to volunteer for NSAS, we can find an enjoyable project for you to work on!

Healthy Farms Conference: We welcome your help with workshops, auction fundraisers or registration for this exciting, statewide sustainable agriculture conference. Volunteers receive a discount on conference registration. Contact Elaine at [email protected]  if you can help at our conference.

Host a Farm Tour, speaker or movie night in your community -- there is no set formula for farm tours or hosting an NSAS speaker. If you need ideas or resources, e-mail [email protected]. We can help promote the event with you as well.
